1. What is a Deposit / Retainer?
A deposit (retainer) is an upfront payment that secures our time, labour, equipment allocation, and priority on our installation schedule. It is applied toward your CCTV, alarm, intercom, Wi-Fi or access control project.
2. Payment
A 50% deposit is required when placing your online order to book and secure your installation.
The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of installation, before system handover, including:
- Access to the recorder and system apps
- Release of usernames, passwords, and remote access
- Final configuration and user training
Deposits are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in these terms.
3. How the Deposit is Applied
Your deposit is applied toward the total project cost.
- If the total job cost exceeds the deposit, the remaining balance will be invoiced and must be paid at job completion.
- If the final cost is less, any remaining credit stays on your account for 3 months and may be applied to future services or products.
4. Expiry
Deposit credits are valid for 3 months from the payment date unless agreed otherwise in writing.
5. Scheduling
Paying a deposit secures your booking date in our schedule. Final date and time depend on availability and site readiness.
We are not responsible for delays outside our control (e.g., weather, supplier delays, site not ready, network issues).
6. Cancellations & Refunds
- If you cancel before work begins, a partial refund may be considered minus administrative and scheduling costs.
- If you cancel after work begins, the deposit will be applied to labour and materials used.
- No refunds apply once installation is substantially completed.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide safe site access and correct information
- Have internet/network access available where applicable
- Ensure safe working conditions for our technicians
- Approve any additional costs caused by access issues, delays, scope changes, or additional cabling/equipment
8. Liability
We provide installation services with care and professionalism.
However, we are not responsible for indirect losses such as:
- Inconvenience or delays
- Lost income or recorded data
- Internet provider or network failure affecting remote access
Our maximum liability is limited to the value of the deposit paid.
9. Governing Law
These terms follow the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
Any disputes will be handled in NSW courts.
10. Amendments
We may update or modify these terms at any time. Updated terms apply to new orders only.
Customer Notice
Payment of the deposit secures your installation and schedule.
Deposits are non-refundable and applied to work performed.
Work outside the agreed scope will be billed separately.
